10. MTB TOUR ON THE FOOTSTEP OF DOLOMITI SUPERBIKE

Start in Sesto/Moso at the Bike Hotel Alpenblick ****s on the cycle path to San Candido (1,150), Dobbiaco (1,215) and Villabassa (1,150). Go from the main square in Villabassa to the end of the village, from there the trail turns right after a few hundred metres into the industrial zone and leads along tarmacked roads over the Eggerberg (1,670) to the viewpoint. Continue along the Roman road (no. 41) and along the forest roads (no. 60A and no. 60) until you reach Franadega. From here, the route continues along the Dobbiaco mountain trail (no. 1) to the Malga S. Silvestro hut. Now, a long descent leads us over different roads and paths (no. 14 and no. 26) past Prato Drava after Versciaco (1,110). The route continues along the cycle path to San Candido. This is relatively demanding along the castle road towards the Baita del Cacciatore hut/Monte Elmo, shortly before the Baita del Cacciatore hut take the turn-off to Waldruhe/Sesto (1,500). From here you can again enjoy the amazing panorama of the Sesto Dolomites as you descend back to the starting point at Sesto/Moso and reach the Bike Hotel Alpenblick ****s.
