4. EMTB TOUR AROUND THE VALLEY OF THE THREE PEAKS

Start from the Bike Hotel Alpenblick ****s to Sesto, past the Monte Elmo funicular to Sport Mode “Kiniger”, turn right into St. Veitweg and continue to the parish church of Sesto. Below the parish church take the road towards “Gasthof Panorama/Monte di Mezzo (1,550), where you then turn shortly before reaching it towards Gasthof Waldruhe (1,550), from here continue along the forest road until you reach the castle road to San Candido (1,150). In San Candido, continue through the town until the valley station of the Baranci cable car, take the forest road from here to the Baranci (1,500), after reaching the mountain station after around 3 km, take the forest road towards Sesto. Passing the "Bagni di San Candido" you reach the cycle path which leads to Sesto/Moso. Along the cycle path to Sesto/Moso up to the valley station of the Prati di Croda Rossa funicular where a forest road passes the “Gasthäusl Putschall”, leading up to the Prati di Croda Rossa (1.900) for a relatively steep 4 km. Once at the mountain station, take the hiking trail no.18 to the Passo di Monte Croce di Comélico (1,600), which ends just before the pass on the state road. Turn left and cycle downhill into the valley for around 200 metres on the state road to reach the "Caravan Park" on the right along hiking trail 13 a, which then continues towards Moso passing the Pollaio Hut to reach the starting point at the Bike Hotel Alpenblick ****s.
