8. EMTB BIKETOUR TO MALGA RASTUA

Start in Sesto/Moso at the Bike Hotel Alpenblick ****s along the cycle path towards San Candido (1,150 m), then continue up to Dobbiaco (1,210). From there, turn left into the Val di Landro Valley towards Cortina, past Lago di Dobbiaco (1,260) and Lago di Landro (1,410) with views of the Tre Cime di Laverdo as far as Carbonin (1,450). Then continue up to “Passo Cimabanche/Gemärk” (1,506) and Ospitale (1,450). From Ospitale, it is now only about 4 km to “Podestagno”, where you turn right off the cycle path up to the “San Umberto” car park. From here, the route leads around 7 km up a quite steep path to the high plateau on the Malga Ra Stua hut (1,670). The spectacular view of the Ampezzo Dolomites with the Tofane and Cristallo invites you to stop for a while in the mountain hut.

The return path to the Bike Hotel Alpenblick ****s follows the same path.
