8. MTB MONTE ARNESE TRAIL TO THE KLAMMBACH HUT

Start in Sesto/Moso from the Bike Hotel Alpenblick ****s towards the main village of Sesto to the parish church and from here take the panoramic road to Mezzomonte (1,600 km). Turn left towards Rifugio Larice (1,800) and continue to the Monte Elmo mountain station (2,040). From here, continue to the Rifugio Gallo Cedrone hut (2,150) and then along a wide, easy cycle path to the Rifugio Sillianer hut at 2,450 metres. From here, the path continues steeply uphill with 50 m of difference in altitude, follow the “Stoneman” signs to Monte Arnese (2,500). Turn right onto hiking trail no. 134, along a beautiful moderately difficult single trail S2 to the Malga Klammbach hut (1,940). Then follow the hiking trail to the right past the hut to the start of the Erlatrail, which ends at the valley station of the Drei Zinnenbahn. From there past the Hennstall hut on the right back to Sexten/Moos to the Bike Hotel Alpenblick ****
